Greetings Rafikis!
From Roatan again I write. Team Calitan has been doing amazing things here! I praise God for the willingness and sacrifice that professionals and students make to be here for a week doing a service for people who simply would have gone without.
The medical team and dental team are all set up! This morning we got our EZ-up equivalents up on the beach and the Medical Team got rolling on exams. I don't quite have stories from them yet but stay tuned! The Dental team has impressed by going above and beyond what someone would expect. They literally are practicing dentistry with lots of hummingbirds buzzing up and through their set up on the porch. Not to mention a Golden Retriever or two...haha. The ocean is the soundtrack for all things medical and dental, and even some on-site construction work! The water filters which we'll be installing had their platforms assembled and painted today. Everyone is bringing their "A" game and so far so good.
The VBS team, (which I spent most of my time with today) got the church set up for VBS. We're going on an ocean adventure, which we thought was funny cause these kids live right by the real ocean. Nevertheless, the Sanctuary has been transformed into an OCEAN with sea-worthy vessel at the front. About 80 kids showed up today, and the new system of having them have color-coded groups with leaders has streamlined the check-in process as well as giving us a solution to the late comers: Just send them to their group!! We laughed, we learned, we learned that God's love is SURPRISING! I can't say this enough...I LOVE VBS!!!! Especially on an exotic island.
A cool thing about today: Got a set of keys to a van and got to drive people around and play Taxi. I should've become CashCab - Roatan!!! LOL. If you know me (and my Calimesa Youth know me...) I'm a happy man when I'm behind the wheel of something! Haha!
Praise the Lord! It's bed time now folks. Till tomorrow, Goodnight!!

P.s. - Pics above are of Paya Bay and the local SDA church building VBS style (This was before the mast was up. Those pics tomorrow!!).

the end of time
